2020 Virtual Leadership Town Hall

Communities In Schools is hosting the 2020 Leadership Town Hall virtually on September 15 – 17, 2020. Town Hall has traditionally served as an opportunity for all members of the CIS network to come together to engage in best-practice sharing, professional development, and to reflect and build upon history of Communities In Schools. But this year is different – not only because we are going virtual. Register here.

2020 Student Supports Institute Resources

Communities In Schools hosted the 2020 Student Supports Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 3-6, 2020. The second annual Institute was an opportunity for program managers in the CIS network to come together for training and best practice sharing on CIS’ role in cultivating a positive school climate across the country. This conference is designed for those individuals in the CIS network whose role it is to directly supervise site-level practitioners, strengthen the use of data in practice, innovate on model implementation and lead affiliate and state-office professional development and learning opportunities. Over the four days of the Institute, participants had the opportunity to engage in training in core concepts of integrated student supports; targeted professional development opportunities to support supervisory, coaching, and training responsibilities; and to create meaningful connections across our affiliate network.

2019 Leadership Town Hall Opening Plenaries

Communities In Schools hosted the 2019 Leadership Town Hall – What We Are Made Of - in the great city of Chicago, Illinois on September 18 – 20, 2019. Town Hall was the opportunity for all members of the CIS network, board members, executives, affiliate staff and school-level practitioners to come together to engage in best-practice sharing, professional development, and to reflect and build upon the forty plus year history of Communities In Schools. It was also the opportunity for leaders in the network to share ideas about the future of our work and align our priorities so that we can work together to accomplish something greater than we could individually.  Here we also celebrated the accomplishments of the CIS family over the past year and highlight alumni and leaders who are doing exceptional work in the network.
